Get to know TMC’s academic programs designed to develop leaders and professionals in technology management. Learn how our curriculum integrates innovation, strategy, and real-world application to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
The MTM program uses an interdisciplinary approach that integrates business management, engineering, and the social and physical sciences. It is the first graduate program of its kind to be offered in the country and at the University of the Philippines.
The program has two fundamental objectives:
– To produce technology managers for both the business and public sectors who can effectively respond to rapid technological changes and innovations by harnessing them to enhance productivity, quality, competitiveness, and service in their respective organizations.
– To equip policymakers and analysts with the knowledge and skills to examine the economic, political, and socio-cultural aspects of technological change and innovation.
The MTM program is designed for current and aspiring managers, entrepreneurs, and consultants in the business sector, as well as policy analysts, planners, R&D managers, and program or project managers in government agencies, state corporations, and non-government organizations.
Graduates of the program are expected to play pivotal roles in shaping strategies that drive innovation-led growth, strengthen organizational resilience, and contribute to national development. The MTM provides not only theoretical knowledge but also practical tools that enable professionals to address real-world challenges in technology management. It fosters leadership, critical thinking, and collaboration—qualities essential for navigating today’s complex, fast-changing global environment.
For those unable to pursue a full graduate degree program, the TMC offers short-term executive courses designed to meet the needs of business and industry executives, entrepreneurs, corporate planners, government science and technology policymakers and analysts, as well as other technology users. These programs provide practical, hands-on learning experiences that can be directly applied to organizational and policy contexts.
